A 58-year-old man is dead after possibly having a medical episode and crashing into a fire truck in East Naples Tuesday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a van was headed west on Davis Boulevard toward Kings Way, driving behind a Greater Naples Fire Rescue truck.
At around 9:07 a.m., the van driver may have suffered a medical episode and lost control of the vehicle. The van crashed into the back of the fire truck.
The van driver was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead, FHP said.
The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
