60-year-old dies when two motorcycles collide head on in West Palm Beach

One man is dead following a head-on collision involving two motorcycles.

On Jan. 3, a 27-year-old man was riding a motorcycle, heading southbound as he approached Victoria Woods Circle. Around the same time, another motorcyclist, identified as S M, was traveling east and approaching the same street, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) says.

PBSO says the 27-year-old failed to yield the right of way to M as he attempted to make a left turn which led to the two motorcycles crashing into each other.

The collision caused M, 60, to be thrown off his motorcycle. His motorcycle eventually came to a stop at the crash location.

The 27-year-old’s motorcycle began to rotate counterclockwise before it came to a stop. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported M and the 27-year-old to St. Mary’s Medical Center.

On Thursday at about 6:20 p.m. M died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the crash.
