68-year-old pedestrian dies after being struck by car in major WPB intersection

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing one of West Palm Beach’s main roads.

Nearly a week ago, CC tried crossing Military Trail near the Belvedere Road intersection around 8:15 p.m. when she was struck by the Nissan sedan, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday.

According to the crash report, the 68-year-old C had been improperly crossing the eight-lane artery in the southwestern part of the city. Authorities also noted that her clothes were not reflective, and the driver could not tell she was in front of the car until it was too late.

The driver stopped immediately after the crash, and the report does not indicate the driver was cited for any offenses as a result of the March 11 crash.
