Two semi-trucks were involved in an Okaloosa County crash on Friday afternoon.
The Crestview Fire Department said the accident happened on I-10 near the Holt exit. They assisted the Holt Fire District with the crash.
A 47-year-old Crawfordville man had his semi-truck stopped in the outside emergency lane of eastbound I-10.
Soon after, a 71-year-old man from Anna, Texas, drifted his semi-truck into that emergency lane, hitting the back of the 47-year-old’s truck.
According to the fire department, one man was extricated. Both drivers were taken to a hospital.
The 71-year-old man was seriously injured. While, the 47-year-old’s injuries were minor.
“The eastbound lanes were blocked due to vehicles, debris, and emergency vehicle for an extensive amount of time,” said FHP.
No further information was released.
