A pedestrian has died from her injuries after being involved in a crash at a Publix in Dunedin, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced.
On Feb. 9, around 3 p.m. deputies responded to a Publix at 1491 Main Street in regard to a pedestrian vs vehicle crash.
MC, 71, was driving through the parking lot at Publix when she saw traffic in front of her and put her vehicle in reverse to let a car exit the lane, according to PCSO.
When C backed up, she hit CS, 83, who was pushing her cart through the crosswalk.
Deputies said S was thrown to the ground and hit her head on the pavement.
S was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries.
