Police are searching for three suspects after a person was shot in Leesburg on Saturday evening.
According to the Leesburg Police Department, the shooting happened near a gas station in the 2100 block of West Main Street around 2:40 p.m. Saturday.
Police believe that three people approached a vehicle at the gas station, two of them stayed on the vehicle’s passenger side and the third went around and approached the driver who was seated inside. Police said the driver was then shot after a confrontation.
Police are still working to find all three suspects who they said fled on foot.
The 87-year-old victim was transported to the hospital and underwent surgery that night.
