92-year-old woman crashes into cyclist in Levy County

A cyclist in Levy County was killed after a pickup truck crashed into her on Tuesday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a 92-year-old woman from Gulf Hammock was driving a pickup on Southeast County Road 326, just east of Wolf Arbor Road around 10:40 a.m.

The driver failed to see a 74-year-old woman from Morriston riding a bicycle in front of her in the eastbound lane. The front of the truck collided with the back of the bicycle, throwing the cyclist off onto the shoulder of the road.

The cyclist died at the scene. No one in the truck was hurt.
