A man is dead after Florida Highway Patrol investigators said he was hit by a pickup truck early Tuesday morning while crossing U.S. 17 in Palatka.
Investigators said the 59-year-old Crescent City man was walking on U.S. 17 around 5 a.m. Tuesday when he was hit by a pickup truck. FHP said he succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
