One person was injured after a car crashed into a Cape Coral canal in the 200 block of SW 22nd Place on Thursday evening.
According to the Cape Coral Fire Department, firefighters and police worked together to get the victim out of the vehicle.
The Cape Coral Police Department told Gulf Coast News there was a single occupant who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and an investigation is ongoing.
Fire officials said the female victim was transferred to Lee County Emergency Medical Services.
