Driver dead after crash involving Brightline Train headed to Miami

One person is dead after a crash involving a vehicle and a Brightline train on Friday.

Brevard County Fire Rescue officials reported that the vehicle went around the lowered railroad barrier.

According to NBC affiliate WESH, the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle which was split in half as a result.

The Brightline train had 188 passengers aboard and was headed to Miami.
