A pursuit of a suspected stolen car on Interstate 10 in Okaloosa County ended near mile marker 61 when the vehicle crashed on Wednesday morning.
The driver reportedly fled north from the crash site and was believed to be armed but is now in custody, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies detained another person involved in the incident.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies assisted the Florida Highway Patrol in the search for the suspect.
Due to the ongoing activity, the eastbound inside lane between mile markers 60 and 63 was blocked, causing traffic delays.
