One man is dead after driving into a utility pole

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 31-year-old man drove his pickup truck into a utility pole in Charlotte County.

Troopers stated the crash happened on South McCall Rd. at 9:50p.m on Friday.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

He later died at a hospital due to his injuries.

This crash is still under investigation.
