One man is dead and another behind bars after a shooting that happened on Caswell Rd. in Walton Co. on Thursday morning.
According to WCSO, Michael Rediker, 44, is charged with murder, battery, and three counts of aggravated assault. He was arrested and booked into the Walton County Jail.
Law enforcement says just after 10 am, they received a frantic 911 call where the caller said someone had been shot.
Deputies said they arrived at the intersection of Caswell Road and Pioneer Drive to find a 41-year-old Crestview man with a single gunshot wound to the head. Walton County Fire Rescue quickly took the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an argument and took place at a construction site with multiple witnesses. They say a handgun was used, and other personal firearms were collected for evidence.
