Woman dies after crashing into culvert off US 301 near Clay County line

A woman died Saturday evening after crashing into a culvert off U.S. 301 near the Clay County line, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The woman was driving north on U.S. 301, about half a mile South of the Clay County line, and for unknown reasons, her car left the roadway onto the right shoulder and crashed into a culvert before continuing into the tree line, FHP said.

The woman died at the scene, officials said.
