Man fatally hit by two vehicles on Cesery Boulevard in Arlington

A man was killed Thursday evening after being struck by two vehicles while walking outside a crosswalk in Arlington, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said the pedestrian was crossing Cesery Boulevard at the Arlington Expressway around 6 p.m. when he was hit by the first vehicle.

The impact pushed him into the next lane, where he was hit by a second vehicle.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, died on the scene.

Investigators said the drivers had the right of way and are cooperating. As of now, JSO said it does not appear charges will be filed.

The death marks Duval County’s fourth traffic fatality just over a week into 2026.
