The U.S. Coast Guard rescued multiple boaters off the coast near Port Canaveral on Saturday.

The first boater was rescued by a crew after a 24-foot boat was seen capsized on the Banana River near Kelly Park.

According to the Coast Guard, the boater was rescued from on top of his vessel. Officials transported him to Kelly Park Boat Ramp with no reported medical concerns.

Crews were able to find the boater thanks to a “good Samaritan” who called it in.

The Coast Guard later issued an advisory, saying, “If you’re heading offshore, make sure you have a reliable way to communicate, because you never know when a routine day on the water can turn into an emergency.”

This was after they received another call for assistance, from three people aboard a disabled 23-foot boat, approximately 19 miles off Port Canaveral.

Another boat crew responded and towed the vessel and its occupants to Jetty Park Pier.

Officials say a vessel safety check conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary can help ensure your boat is in navigable condition and properly equipped with the required safety gear, critical to keeping everyone safe on the water.
