A 29-year-old Cocoa man was killed early Thursday in a hit-and-run crash that prompted the closure of Interstate 95 in Brevard County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal wreck happened around 5 a.m. on I-95 north near State Road 528.
All northbound lanes were closed in the area, but the interstate was reopened about two hours later.

The vehicle left the scene after the crash, according to troopers, who said there’s no information about the vehicle or driver.
It’s not known why the Cocoa man was walking on or near the interstate.
