Crews have cleared the scene, and the home has been turned over to the occupants. The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal, according to the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control.
Fire crews are working to contain and extinguish a structure fire in the area of 12th Street in Shalimar on Saturday morning, according to the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District.
Firefighters from the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District and Eglin Fire Department responded to the scene, along with Okaloosa County EMS.
All occupants were able to exit the home safely, according to the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District.
The incident remained active as crews continued operations.
Officials asked people to avoid the area if possible and to give responding units space to work safely.
