First responders rushed to the scene of a small plane crash in Okaloosa County this afternoon.

Officials say a two-person aircraft went down near Long Branch Farm Road in Baker after experiencing engine failure just 200 feet in the air, causing it to nose-dive onto private property.

The pilot was able to get out and call 911, but the passenger had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters.

Both men were alert when crews arrived. One was taken to the hospital by ground, while the other was airlifted as a precaution.
