BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — An argument in Boca Raton escalated into violence early Friday morning, leaving a victim hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg as the suspect fled the scene.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office told CBS12 News that on Friday morning, deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Crescendo Circle in Boca Raton.

It was reported that the victim was shot in the leg during a verbal dispute.

The Sheriff’s Office said that the suspect fled the scene, and the victim was transported to Delray Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg, which is considered non-life-threatening.
