Woman killed after another driver causes head-on crash in Kissimmee

A 46-year-old woman from Davenport was killed in a head-on crash in Osceola County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Old Lake Wilson Road and Spine Road in Kissimmee.

Troopers say a 20-year-old man driving a 2017 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Old Lake Wilson Road when he lost control, ran off the roadway and crossed into the northbound lanes.

The Honda then collided head-on with a 2014 Nissan Sentra driven by the 46-year-old woman.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 20-year-old driver was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway has since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
