UPDATE: All lanes are now open.
Northbound lanes of I-75 at Jacaranda Boulevard in south Sarasota County were closed earlier Wednesday morning after a fatal crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Additional updates from investigators is expected later this morning.
As of 7:30 a.m., the two-vehicle crash had two travel lanes blocked at Jacaranda Boulevard, exit 193. All lanes were open by 7:45 a.m.
Additionally, another crash occurred within the delays, just before 7:30 a.m.
Backups are currently to just after Sumter Blvd, near 8 miles, costing commuters over an hour extra for their drive.
