Overnight St. Pete shooting leaves man with life-threatening injuries

A man was rushed to the hospital after a shooting early Tuesday morning in Pinellas County.

Residents of the Meadows Apartments, located along Dr. MLK Jr. Street North between I-275 and Gandy Boulevard, reported hearing gunshots at around 1:27 a.m.

St. Pete police said that a 911 caller told dispatchers they were taking a man to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

St. Pete Fire Rescue crews met them at a Circle K on Roosevelt Boulevard and transported the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No suspect has been taken into custody.
