Ocala man dies after crashing vehicle into utility pole, troopers investigating

A 28-year-old man from Ocala is dead after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole Monday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the man was traveling northbound on Southwest 140th Avenue in Ocala at around 2:30 a.m.

Troopers say the man lost control of his vehicle, drove off the roadway before crashing into a utility pole and was thrown from the vehicle.

FHP troopers say the man died at the scene. They are investigating the cause of the crash.
