Pair taken to trauma center after US 27 rollover

Two people were hurt in a rollover crash on Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 27 in western Broward County.

According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, the crash happened near mile marker 41.

A BSFR spokesperson said medics took a man and a woman to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment as trauma patients.

Officials haven’t provided further details about the extent of their injuries.

First responders temporarily shut down the highway in response to the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
