A house fire in Oviedo resulted in the deaths of two dogs and a rabbit on Thursday.

WESH’s Chopper 2 captured live coverage of the fire located on 2149 Martingale Place near Branton Drive.

The call initially came in as a smoke investigation, Seminole County Fire Department said.

SCFD managed to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures, including a barn.

The homeowners were not on the scene at the time of the fire and are safe.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
