An Alachua County Public School bus collided with a pickup truck on Newberry Road Monday morning, sending the truck driver to UF Shands.

Florida Highway Patrol reports that one bus aide had minor injuries, but none of the seven students onboard were hurt. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. when the bus was traveling north on County Road 241 and entered the intersection with Newberry Road, near the Steeplechase Publix.

The truck, driven by a 68-year-old Port Angeles, Washington man, was headed west on Newberry Road and also entered the intersection. The driver is in serious condition.
