A bicyclist died a week after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a major West Palm Beach road.
The West Palm Beach Police Department confirmed German Castro passed away on Sunday from injuries sustained in the January 5 wreck.
Castro, 66, had attempted to cross South Military Trail, at a point south of Summit Boulevard, around 7:45 p.m., when his bicycle was struck by a Lexus GX450.
According to the report, Casto did not cross at the crosswalk and passed in front of the SUV. The police department stated that he caused the crash.
Neither person in the SUV were hurt in the wreck.
