Bicyclist dies after Broward train collision, deputies say

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A bicyclist died on Saturday after a train collision in Broward County, deputies said.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the collision was on the tracks shortly before 1:40 p.m., in Pompano Beach.

Fire Rescue personnel pronounced the bicyclist dead on the tracks between North Flagler Avenue and Dixie Highway, near Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.

BSO Traffic Homicide detectives were investigating the death on Saturday afternoon. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
