Bicyclist killed in crash shuts down US-1 southbound near Johnathan Dickinson State Park

Southbound US-1 at Johnathan Dickinson State Park is currently shut down due to a crash which claimed the life of a bicyclist overnight.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said that the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is on the scene, and their traffic homicide team has been activated to gather information related to the crash.

Motorists are advised to expect significant delays in the area, with the road closure expected to last at least through 10 a.m. this Monday morning.

Officials are urging drivers to seek alternative routes until the investigation is complete.
