A Boca Raton woman remains in the Palm Beach County Jail early Thursday morning following her early Wednesday arrest by the Florida Highway Patrol. Morgane Otayek is now charged with multiple violations after what appears to be a chase.
The arrest report continues to be processed but the Palm Beach County Jail tells BocaNewsNow.com that Otayek is locked up on four charges. They are: “flee or elude police while lights and sirens are active,” “grand theft of a motor vehicle,” “resist an officer without violence,” and “moving traffic violation — second offense of driving while license is revoked or suspended.”
Otayek, who lives in the 18700 block of Cassandra Point Lane in Boca Raton, was arrested in the area of I-95 southbound south of 45th Street. She was booked into jail at 4:52 a.m. on Wednesday. Bond is set at $12,000. She remained incarcerated as of 6:30 Thursday morning.
Court records indicate that Otayek has had a series of misdemeanor appearances in the Palm Beach County court system. We’ll update once we receive the official affidavit of probable cause from the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.
