Boynton Beach Police are warning drivers of a road closure due to a dirt bike crash near Poinciana Elementary School.

The Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) stated that a dirt bike traveling north on Seacrest Boulevard was struck by a truck traveling south when the vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Northeast 13th Avenue.

The dirt bike driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Officials stated that they are on the scene and that northbound traffic is temporarily shut down.

Police urge parents picking up children from Poinciana Elementary to enter the school from the north side and travel southbound on Seacrest Boulevard.

BBPD is directing traffic while the scene is being cleared. Drivers should expect delays.
