A 40-year-old Bronson man died Wednesday morning when his motorcycle and a sedan collided while passing traffic on State Road 24 (Archer Road) west of Gainesville.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the Bronson man and a 47-year-old Archer woman driving a sedan collided around 10:32 a.m. when both were attempting to pass other traffic on SR 24. The motorcycle traveled off the road and struck a utility pole.
Emergency responders transported the Bronson man to UF Health Shands Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Archer woman driving the sedan was uninjured.
