The Broward Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday that the list of injured victims after a deputy-involved crash had increased to 11 — and included a child and a pregnant woman.
According to the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, the crash was at about 10:45 a.m., on Saturday at Northwest 27 Avenue and West Sunrise Boulevard.
Fire rescue personnel from Fort Lauderdale, Lauderhill, and Plantation also responded. The initial report from BSFR was nine injured, but the list later included one more victim on Saturday and another on Sunday.
According to Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane, a spokesman for BSFR, the injured were getting treatment at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
“All injuries are non-life-threatening,” Kane wrote in a statement on Saturday.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
