BSO searches for driver involved in fatal hit-and-run in Pompano Beach

According to BSO spokeswoman M G, the hit-and-run crash was reported at about 5:55 a.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of West Atlantic Boulevard.

G said BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the area and found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle.

The victim was transported to Broward Health North, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
