A Cape Coral man was arrested after being accused of flipping his car in a three-vehicle crash while driving under the influence.
Korey Dickens, 34, faces DUI related charges after a crash in Cape Coral early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a rollover crash on Del Prado Boulevard around 2 a.m., where they said they found Dicken’s car lying on its roof, heavily damaged.
Another driver involved in the crash told officers that he was leaving the BP gas station when Dickens struck their car.
A third vehicle was also heavily damaged in the crash.
After investigations, officers said Dickens was at fault for the crash.
Officers spoke with Dickens, who they said gave multiple signs of impairment, including slurred speech and an odor of alcohol coming from his breath.
CCPD conducted a DUI investigation. According to reports, Dickens’ blood alcohol content (BAC) was .335 when it was taken at a local hospital shortly after 4 a.m.
Officers searched Dicken’s car where they said they found two empty mini-bottles of vodka and eight unopened mini-bottles of vodka.
The total estimated damage of the crash was $13,000 to the car that was struck by Dickens and $11,000 to the third car involved.
Dickens was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail where he is facing one count of driving under the influence and two count of DUI damage to property or another person.
