Traffic shutdown on Veterans Memorial Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard after a crash involving a Cape Coral police officer Friday evening.
The crash between a Cape Coral police cruiser and a grey car happened just before 8 p.m.
Pictures from the scene show heavy front end damage to the police cruiser with airbags deployed.
The car appeared to have extensive damage on the driver’s side door.
