Car crashes into Fort Myers tile and cabinet store days before grand opening

A week before opening their tile and cabinet store, the owners of Vista Services are dealing with a huge cleanup. A car plowed through the business on U.S.-41 and Colonial Boulevard. Glass windows and doors were broken.

“I was sitting right here, and the car was just 6 feet from hitting me,” said Iko Ozipek. “I am glad I am alive, honestly.”

He is one of the owners of the business, and he said they were planning to open next week.

NBC2 spoke to the driver, who got out of the car unharmed. She told me it was an accident.

Fort Myers police say she was giving no citations.

Ercan Efeogle, another owner of the business, said they will have to push that date back.

“We were about to put down flooring and bring some more product to finish up this place,” Efeogle said.

Luckily, no one was hurt.
