A crash early Friday morning shut down all northbound and southbound lanes of New Kings Road near Gilchrist Road as of 7:30 a.m. Friday.
A car hit a telephone pole and caused downed wires across the road.
The car was flipped onto its side with severe damage. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said there were injuries in the crash, but the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department said no one was taken to the hospital from the scene.
Commuters driving on New Kings Road were forced to turn around as there is a complete roadblock.
