Car hits woman walking in Santa Rosa County: Florida Highway Patrol

A woman is fighting for her life after a car hit her on Sept. 27, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An FHP crash report said the 49-year-old was walking in the crosswalk on Gulf Boulevard near Beach Access 38C around 7 p.m. Friday.

The driver of a Hyundai Kona SUV said she had not seen the woman in the crosswalk, according to officials.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
