Photos show the aftermath of a car overturning into a canal in Royal Palm Beach on Monday morning.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) said units responded after reports of a car that came to rest upside down along the far side of a canal embankment near SR441 and Aldi Way just before 9 a.m.
Battalion 2 crews, along with the Special Operations team, responded to the scene in under three minutes. One person required extrication from the vehicle, according to PBCFR.
One person was then airlifted by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s TraumaHawk helicopter to a trauma center for further treatment.
