Detectives with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office INTERCEPT Task Force arrested a man Tuesday after an investigation determined he had child sexual abuse and bestiality material. Justin Dougall, 37, is charged with 39 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, 32 counts of transmitting that material and one count of possession of bestiality material. The arrest occurred at the house on the corner of 99th Avenue and 7th Street North, near US-41. Deputies swarmed the neighborhood around 5 a.m.

Volusia sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man after they said they discovered four neglected horses on his property, two of which were critically ill and had to be put down. Wayne Prevatt, 65, of Seville, faces multiple counts, including two felony charges of animal cruelty. In an incident report released on Tuesday, FWC officials said they received a call about an injured bear near Foxden Road on June 6. Investigators said they arrived at the scene around 11 p.m., finding the bear’s body but without any immediately obvious cause of death.

An 18-year-old man who was arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy in Florida City appeared before a judge. Jeron Smith was charged with second-degree murder after, Miami-Dade Police said, he confessed to shooting and killing Damarion Bailey. During his court appearance on Monday, a judge denied Smith bond.
