Officers responded just before 2 a.m. on the eastbound side of Busch Boulevard in front of Busch Gardens. Rescuers worked to save the man’s life, but he did not survive. Three people were hospitalized after a crash in Escambia County Sunday night. The multi-vehicle fire was reported at Jenkins Collision Center, located at 1420 SW 12th St., around 3 a.m. Firefighters arrived to “a large column of smoke and flames” from three vehicles. Troopers said the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. on Interstate 95 at mile marker 202 in Cocoa. According to a crash report, a Toyota Camry – being driven by a 23-year-old North Lauderdale man – was traveling north on I-95 lost control and ran off of the roadway.

Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a shooting in Gladeview early Monday morning left one man hospitalized, officials said. According to police, officers responded to the area of Northwest 67th Street and Northwest 19th Avenue around 3:40 a.m. after receiving several ShotSpotter alerts. Three women were hurt after shots rang out near a church in Opa-locka, triggering a police investigation. Opa-locka Police units responded to reports of a shooting outside the Iglesia Betesda Asamblea de Dios, located near Northwest 32nd Avenue and 135th Street, just after 1 p.m., Sunday. A delivery driver who was shot and killed while dropping off food at an Opa-locka apartment building over the weekend has been identified as investigators worked to determine who shot him. Police said 40-year-old Alejandro Linares was delivering food at the Mirage at Sailboat Cove apartment complex on Northwest 142nd Street on Saturday when the shooting happened. A man was arrested after a shooting late Monday left a man in critical condition in Southwest Miami-Dade. Authorities said preliminarily, it appears the shooter drove up alongside the victim’s vehicle and fired into it on the Florida Turnpike northbound and SW 257th Terrace just before midnight. A man is facing up to 30 years in prison for leaving the scene of a crash that killed a 4-year-old and severely injured a 14-year-old in Cocoa.  Kenneth McGhee turned himself into the Cocoa Police Department last Friday and posted a $30,000 bond over the weekend. An officer driving a Port St. Lucie patrol SUV was involved in a crash late Monday afternoon that injured a bicyclist. The incident happened at the intersection of Airoso Boulevard and Southwest Lucero just outside of the city limits.
