A Palm Beach County School District employee was injured after the worker accidentally discharged their gun, the district confirmed. The incident happened at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) gun range during a civilian training exercise, the sheriff’s office and district reported. The worker was wounded in the hip and taken to a local hospital for treatment, the statement continued. PBSO noted the injuries are not considered life-threatening.  A 63-year-old Silver Springs man was killed Monday night in a single-vehicle wreck in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The fatal crash was reported around 8 p.m. along State Road 40 near NE 14 Street Road. A bicyclist and driver are in the hospital after the two were involved in a collision in Casselberry early Saturday morning, according to the Seminole County Fire Department. The bicyclist, a 50-year-old man, was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert, according to firefighters. The driver of the car was also transported, firefighters said.  All northbound lanes of SR-436 at Howell Branch Road are currently closed as this incident is being investigated, SCFD said.
