According to Gainesville Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to calls to a home on Southwest 4th Avenue that was on fire just after 2:30 Monday morning. A man was arrested after allegedly attempting to sell a golf cart that he stole through social media. Zachary David Muller, 27, was apprehended on Friday by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office while attempting to sell the stolen golf cart on social media, according to police. A 60-year-old Pensacola man has died and two US Navy Sailors are seriously injured after a crash on Gulf Beach Highway and Navy Boulevard Saturday morning. The man was driving for Uber in a Subaru sedan with two US Navy Sailors, a 28-year-old New York man, and a 22-year-old Iowa man as passengers around 4:05 a.m., according to FHP. The release states he was headed Southbound through the intersection of Navy Boulevard and Gulf Beach Hwy with a green light.

A woman died after she was hit by a car Saturday night on Pace Blvd and Gadsden Street. Police say officers responded to a call around 11:40 p.m. regarding the woman who had been hit. When they arrived, she was taken to the local hospital where she died from her injuries. The driver stayed on the scene. The intersection was closed for a period but has since been reopened. A man was arrested after he fatally shot his estranged girlfriend near a Haines City restaurant on Sunday morning, the police department said. Haines City officers said they were called to a shooting near La Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant around 10:55 a.m., where a 29-year-old woman was reportedly shot. Officers said they received several 911 calls, including one from the victim who described the suspect as the father of her children and estranged boyfriend of seven years, Rolando Guevara Zarate. A multi-vehicle crash involving a Sunny Isles Police cruiser on the southbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway led to a man being hospitalized, officials said. Photo by: UC Breaking News. A 59-year-old Naples woman died after a collision on Oil Well Road Thursday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an unmarked Collier County Sheriff’s Office vehicle and a Toyota Rav 4, owned by the 59-year-old woman, were the two involved in the fatal wreck. The woman’s identity was not released. A Collier County deputy involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The deputy’s condition remains unknown.

A man was killed after he tried to cross State Road 60 in Polk County on Saturday night. Maximino Amiltempa, 39, walked onto the road and was hit by a 59-year-old who was driving around 10 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of State Road 60 near Turner Road in Mulberry, according to deputies. She was unable to avoid hitting him and he suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 59-year-old woman showed no signs of impairment
