Burglars were caught on camera ramming their vehicle into a CVS Pharmacy in an attempted robbery in Manatee County, according to police. Around 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, surveillance footage outside the CVS located at 945 8th Avenue West in Palmetto captured a silver Mitsubishi SUV back into the front doors of the store. A Seminole County inmate died Thursday morning after he got into a physical altercation at the jail days prior, deputies said.  On Tuesday, Matthew Wilson, 30, allegedly had a verbal altercation with another inmate that turned physical around 7 p.m. While the two were fighting, Wilson struck his head on the ground. A woman was able to put out a mobile home fire with water hoses, buckets of water and help from neighbors, hours after having major surgery. The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 near Miami Gardens Drive when the tractor-trailer went off the roadway, hitting a guardrail before slamming into two structural pillars of the overpass, Florida Highway Patrol officials said. The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, along with Collier County deputies, arrested a former Texas priest in Ave Maria Tuesday for possession of child pornography. Father Anthony Odiong, 55, is also the subject of a sexual assault investigation. In March 2024, police in Waco, Texas, report a woman came forward to tell them about a sexual assault that occurred in 2012. A Umatilla woman was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after a crash at McDonald’s in Leesburg. The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver who struck a bicyclist in Pinellas Park late Sunday night.
