A construction worker died Thursday in Miami Beach, according to authorities. The City of Miami Beach said it happened on 74th Street and Ocean Terrace at around 11:22 a.m. They did not reveal who died or what caused the death. A 58-year-old Pensacola man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning in Escambia County. It happened around 1:25 a.m. on Mobile Highway at the N New Warrington Road entrance ramp. A 57-year-old man who was struck by a Jeep last month while he was crossing a road in Lantana died over the weekend. A 38-year-old man was arrested Wednesday, following a Sept. 8 hit-and-run crash in northwest Miami-Dade. According to his arrest report, Yulizan Ochoa, of Miami, struck a man in a wheelchair with his vehicle around 5:40 p.m. Sept. 8 in the area of Northwest 186th Street and 68th Avenue, and then fled the scene. A serious crash temporarily shut down the southbound lanes of I-275 at 54th Avenue South in St. Petersburg, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
