Deputies are investigating Monday after one person was killed in a shooting in Charlotte County near the Lee County line. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is along Nasturtium Drive, a neighborhood off US-41 south of Zemel Road. A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly throwing a fork and threatening a man with scissors during an anger-induced outburst in their hotel room. A deputy responded to the Days Inn, located at 551 E. State Road 44 in Wildwood, regarding a physical disturbance around 11:55 a.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.  Upon arrival, the deputy met 64-year-old L S W who advised that she was in an altercation with a male victim.

Pasco County Fire Rescue crews were called to the 3800 block of Bowen Street at around 6:30 a.m. Firefighters found a 60-year-old man dead in a front bedroom. A second person escaped the fire. Highway 98 and Erin Drive. According to Escambia Fire Rescue, a SUV left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the vehicle fire to prevent any further spread into the woods. The situation was brought under control by 9:46 p.m.

A Spring Hill man killed his brother before taking his own life on Black Friday, Hernando County deputies said. According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, its emergency communications center got a 911 call at about 11:25 a.m. from A. C, 39. The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Sunday night in Pompano Beach. A 22-year-old woman was arrested last week after she stabbed a man in southwest Miami-Dade, an arrest report obtained Monday by Local 10 News stated.
