MEDLEY, FLA. (WSVN) – Police said they have arrested four men in connection to the theft of premium-grade plywood in Medley. Guillermo Gonzalez, Rolando Diaz, Reynel Castillo, and Roylis Rodriguez were arrested on Tuesday. According to Medley Police, workers at a warehouse along the 8500 block of Northwest 80th Street would arrive early and secretly load the materials into a trailer. Detectives said one of the suspects would sell this plywood to vendors across Miami-Dade County at a substantial discount.

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — A 70-year-old man was arrested after a man was stabbed Wednesday night in Fort Pierce, police said. The incident occurred at about 11:19 p.m. in the 200 block of North U.S. Highway 1. Investigators said an altercation broke out inside a residence, resulting in a 63-year-old man being stabbed. BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A kayaker who was found unresponsive in a Boynton Beach canal has died, police said. The man was found at about 4 p.m. in a waterway located at Miner Road and N Congress Avenue, according to Boynton Beach Fire Rescue. Police said the kayak was found overturned. Crews recovered the unresponsive man from the water about 15 minutes after they received the call. He was taken to a hospital, but police confirmed just before 7:30 p.m.

A child who fell into a canal in Homestead was rushed to the hospital Thursday. Homestead Police officials said the child reportedly fell into the canal in the area of Southeast 28th Avenue and Canal Drive.
