Troopers are searching for a driver who allegedly struck an Orlando motorcyclist and left the scene Sunday night. The Florida Highway Patrol said the hit-and-run crash happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. at Monterey Road and Koa Street in Poinciana. A spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to FOX 35 News that at least one person has died in a shooting. Rio Grande was closed to traffic in both directions between 22nd and 23rd streets while homicide detectives investigated.   Deputies arrived at the scene just before 9 p.m. in response to reports of a shooting.

A 63-year-old Gainesville woman died when her SUV traveled off I-75 near mile marker 402 and collided with a tree on Monday morning.
